My dad is going to kill me for posting this, but it is the quintessential silly dinner time I grew up loving. Clearly, Dalia is carrying on the tradition with Pops. Just some background, Pops is gobbling like a turkey. Dalia's just being Dalia. For the record, and the second year in a row, Dalia was totally disinterested in Thanksgiving dinner. She put most of her dinner in her water cup, which she proceeded to drink and say "yuck" (in the meantime I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner and, as usual, ate way too much). At least this year none of Dalia's food ended up on the floor. She did manage to eat the rolls and some cheese and apple sauce.
We are truly thankful for this blessed life. For our family and our friends. For our health and consciousness.
And while Dalia may not have been interested AT ALL in Turkey day, she is sooooo excited for Christmas. She loves the "mismas yights" we hung around the living room to start the season off.

We do love hanging out with Amy and Archer. I can't believe how big these little guys are getting - laughing, talking, walking, running, singing and sharing together. We are lucky.
Here are a few more from the photographer, Dalia, while I'm' at it. I wanted to post a video that is classic, but it's too big and I can't edit it down enough. Oh, well. This morning I woke up to her and Daddy playing with the camera somewhat peacefully together on the couch. This first one I took. Isn't she beautiful?

Oh, and here she is on our new purchase. We sold our old couch and futon to make room (and money) for these. Ah, sweet space. So comfortable, and cool.
This photo is from Dalia's b-day party. Our friend Jen took it. I was just looking through her photos on Flickr and came across it again. This photo is as close as I could ever come to expressing how much joy, and laughter, and life Dalia has brought to my life. Has brought to our planet. I know she's my daughter and I'm biased, but I'm so thankful her big, gigantic soul and beautiful little body is here to share the world with us. Many of you know that sleep has been the issue of our life with D so far. Well, I guess when I look at this photo, I realize that maybe sleep is a little less important than I thought it was. There's so much fun to be had, obviously...Obviously.
Dalia is quickly becoming a master at singing her ABC's since I've become obsessed with handwashing (at which time we sing the ABC's to be sure we're washing for long enough) and she's getting pretty good at her 123's - she can count to 16 but she usually skips 13, 14 and 15. She got a bit confused in between. I think she was distracted by the music playing. I can't get enough of it. Makes me hysterical every time.
