As I write this, Dalia is helping Uncle Jimmy and Daddy make pumpkin pancakes. Yum! She's turning into quite the master at cracking eggs. She often doesn't eat the end product, but likes the batter (good think for vegi-free range eggs). We have had such a great visit with Jim. The sky has been crystal clear, but damn cold. FAREEZING! But we have had so much fun. We went to the zoo in the afternoon and stayed until it got dark so we could see the zoo lights. Gigi/Pops, we have to do this like next week! The afternoon, btw, is a great time to see the animals really active. We can't believe what kind of action we got from the lions and cheetahs. It's exhilarating to be so close to those animals. We also saw Samudra, the baby elephant, nursing from his mommy and eating grass.
Oh, and here she is reading "this map."
Yesterday we attempted Larch Mountain. We didn't even consider that it would be closed due to snow. Duh! So we headed to the Sandy river where we lasted about two minutes. The wind whipping down the river must have made it 20 degrees. But so beautiful!
We've also had fires two nights in a row. Jim has just loved polluting our air and we're so glad he was here to motivate us to start the holiday season right. Would have loved to see Ali, of course.
Today we are off to Dundee to drop Jim off at some friend's house and then get a tree on our way home.
Tis the season.

I can't wait to go to the zoo with you at dusk! (That is one husky Cheetah - or is she pregnant?).
These are wonderful photos. Thanks for sharing.
